Description

This is an independent contractor position focused on coordinating and executing social and community events. The contractor will operate with a high degree of autonomy, managing their own workflow in alignment with agreed-upon objectives and timelines. The contractor will plan, organize, and host social events that foster connection, engagement, and a sense of community. This role centers on creating meaningful experiences by coordinating event logistics, managing schedules, collaborating with vendors and partners, and ensuring events run smoothly from concept to completion.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, personable, and creative, with a passion for bringing people together. They play a key role in strengthening relationships, encouraging participation, and enhancing the overall community experience. The role collaborates with the Welcome Experience Concierge team to ensure each welcome experience aligns with the company's standards.

Requirements

Required
  • Proven experience in event planning, community engagement, hospitality, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable engaging with diverse groups
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and external partners
  • Experience coordinating with vendors, venues, and service providers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable managing event logistics, schedules, and basic budgets
  • Ability to adapt in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • Professional, approachable, and client-focused demeanor
  • Proficiency with common productivity tools (email, calendars, spreadsheets, event platforms)
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as required by event schedules
  • Multilingual abilities (English and Spanish required; additional languages a plus)

As part of this independent contractor engagement, the contractor will be invited to attend all locally planned community and social events hosted or coordinated by the company. This participation is intended to support collaboration, relationship-building, and familiarity with the community and brand experience.

Attendance at events is not mandatory and does not constitute employment or required working hours. Any participation beyond agreed deliverables will be considered voluntary and non-compensable unless otherwise outlined in the independent contractor agreement.

Performance-Based Bonuses

* Per-Event Success Bonus: Additional compensation for events that meet or exceed agreed attendance, engagement, and satisfaction benchmarks.

* Milestone Bonus: Bonus awarded upon successful completion of a defined number of events within a set timeframe.

Referral & Growth Incentives

* Client Referral Bonus: Bonus for referrals that lead to new confirmed clients.

* Vendor Referral Bonus: Compensation for introducing reliable vendors or partners that become part of the approved supplier network.
