Description

This is an independent contractor role responsible for conducting guided tours in Spain for clients attending company-hosted events, local attractions, and museums. The contractor provides engaging, informative, and welcoming experiences that help clients connect with their surroundings and culture.

The role operates on a per-tour basis, and focuses on delivering high-quality, in-person experiences while representing the company professionally. Contractors operate independently, managing assigned tours and ensuring a positive client experience from start to finish. The role collaborates with the Welcome Experience Concierge team to ensure each welcome experience aligns with the company's standards.

Requirements

Required
  • Experience leading tours, hosting groups, or providing client-facing experiences
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Comfortable engaging with diverse groups of clients
  • Ability to work independently and manage tours autonomously
  • Professional, friendly, and client-focused demeanor
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally
  • Familiarity with local attractions, museums, or cultural sites
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings

Preferred 
  • Background in tourism, hospitality, cultural education, or lifestyle services
  • Experience working with international or expat clients
  • Multilingual abilities (English required; Spanish preferred; additional languages a plus)
  • Knowledge of Spanish history, culture, and regional highlights
  • Prior experience hosting private or small-group tours

Engagement Incentive

As part of this independent contractor engagement, the contractor will be invited to attend all locally planned community and social events hosted or coordinated by the company. This participation is intended to support collaboration, relationship-building, and familiarity with the community and brand experience.

Attendance at events is not mandatory and does not constitute employment or required working hours. Any participation beyond agreed deliverables will be considered voluntary and non-compensable unless otherwise outlined in the independent contractor agreement.

Performance-Based Bonuses

Per-Tour Success Bonus: Additional compensation for in-person guided tours that meet or exceed the company's satisfaction benchmarks.

* Milestone Bonus: Bonus awarded upon successful completion of a pre-determined set number of in-person guided tours.

Referral & Growth Incentives

* Client Referral Bonus: Bonus for referrals that lead to new confirmed clients.

* Vendor Referral Bonus: Compensation for introducing reliable vendors or partners that become part of the approved supplier network.

Contractors are expected to be registered as autónomos in Spain and able to issue invoices for services rendered. Payment will be made upon receipt of invoice and in accordance with agreed payment terms. The contractor is responsible for all applicable taxes, social security contributions, insurance, and business-related expenses.

Responsibilities

  • Lead guided tours at company-hosted events, local attractions, and museums
  • Provide engaging commentary and context about local culture, history, and experiences
  • Welcome and support clients during tours, ensuring a positive and inclusive experience
  • Coordinate tour timing, meeting points, and logistics in alignment with agreed plans
  • Communicate clearly with internal teams regarding tour schedules and updates
  • Represent the company professionally and in alignment with brand values
  • Ensure tours run smoothly and respond calmly to unexpected changes
